MTW Carbon Fiber Outer Barrel DIY Kit

Maybe you just don't know if you're going with a mid or long rifle?

I've been there, and it can be tough to pick a length that you think will work, but then getting it in for it to be just a little too long or a little too short. Not worry, I've got you covered with a DIY kit!

The kit comes with a length of carbon fiber, aluminum thread adapter, 3D Printed Base, and a jig to make sure your cut is perfectly square and you keep all your fingers. Most any hand saw, multitool saw, band saw can be used. Just in case it isn't perfectly flat still, a bit of sanding is recommended. The cut side is the recommended side to go into the barrel base. Use some sort of glue, we recommend a nice two part epoxy, but super glue will work in a pinch. These are all made to be a tight fit, so a rubber mallet should be used to hammer them in. 

These will fit ANY MTW variant. We have tested Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3, 9, 308, and Article 1. If yours comes with a metal ring (mostly applies to the 308 and gen 3s) around the outer barrel for fitment, we recommend using that ring. If you don't have it for any reason, don't worry, we include a similar adapter!

For the 10.3 variant, it saves about 4.5 ounces. Even more weight savings with longer barrels!

For the perfect fit, you can see how the barrel is measured in one photo, we measure from where the receiver ends to the end of the threads. The 250mm/500mm is the length of the carbon fiber tube, not accounting for the length of the threads or other end. The max length that can be made would be about 300mm/550mm give or take 5mm. Instructions to get the perfect fit are included!
